The most significant element in a camera lens is definitely the lenses themselves, while in a camera it's the image sensor. (2:31) Manual settings You're gonna find these three parameters in any camera: shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. They combine to create the exposure, which is, how light the picture's gonna be. But not just that. Let's deal with it one after another. (2:54) On aperture Aperture is an optical parameter and it specifically relates to a camera lens. It's the opening of a lens's iris through which the light passes. This parameter takes form in ratios. The lower this number is in the settings, the wider the aperture is. The higher the number is in your settings, the smaller the aperture. (5:40) Shutter speed Shutter Speed is the amount of time it allows the image sensor to record the information of the light which reaches it. It is measured in seconds, or more often than not, fractions of seconds. The more active the content you're shooting is, the shorter shutter speed you'll need. Otherwise, the objects in the frame will be blurry. (8:54) ISO Higher ISO levels make an image lighter by forcing the image sensor to be more "sensitive" to light but as light sensitivity in the image starts increasing, image "noise" starts to increase.
