In this installment of the 2014 Tiger Muay Thai Tryout series, the athletes compete in some authentic Muay Thai training. Tiger Muay Thai invited 26 up and coming MMA and Muay Thai athletes from around the globe to compete against each other for a spot on our professional fight teams and a year's scholarship training at our camp in the tropical land of Phuket, Thailand. Of the 26 invitees, only seven scholarships were given, five MMA and two Muay Thai. More episodes to come soon. In this installment of the 2014 Tiger Muay Thai Tryout series, the athletes compete in some authentic Muay Thai training. Tiger Muay Thai invited 26 up and coming MMA and Muay Thai athletes from around the globe to compete against each other for a spot on our professional fight teams and a year's scholarship training at our camp in the tropical land of Phuket, Thailand. On closer inspection you will notice that Powderwhore is no longer focusing primarily on the telemark turn. BREAKING TRAIL will highlight riders of all disciplines choosing their own backcountry adventures. Warning! There are no shots of helicopters filming other helicopters or hankie-clad 16-year-olds hepped up on energy drinks spinning to rap music. And you won't win a Jeep if you come out to a premiere. You will find a mixed bag of highly talented and dedicated individuals who enjoy hiking out into the unknown in search of turns and adventure. All this captured by two video hacks carrying as little as necessary in order to travel fast and light.

Highlights included: Yosemite Falls, Yosemite Point, North Dome and Indian Rock Arch. The views along this trail are tough to beat and it give you a small taste of everything the park has to offer from falls, isolate backcountry, snow, route finding to down-right exhaustion. Be prepared with layers, lots of water and have a blast out there. This hike is somewhere between first and second kinda fun but mostly first.

Travel video about destination Pecs in West Hungary. Pécs is the largest city in West Hungary and European Capital Of Culture with more than a thousand years of history. From Illyrian and Celtic settlements grew the Roman city of Sopianae and in 1009 A.D. King Stephan founded the diocese of Pécs. At the same time he laid the foundation stone for the first Saint Peter Cathedral whose structure, over the centuries, has been re-built and transformed several times. The fascinating early Christian cemetery with its subterranean, artistically painted grave chambers, was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Indeed, few Roman necropolis' such as this exist outside Italy. The Pécs of today makes it easy to forget that in 1241 the then unprotected city was destroyed by the Huns, which led to the construction of the City Wall. In 1543 the Turks invaded without a struggle and remained for 143 years during which time they introduced mosques, minarets and baths. German, Croat, Roma and Jewish influences dominated the cityscape, a blend that eventually led to Hungarian Art Nouveau and Moorish-Oriental forms are very apparent on the still magnificent synagogues of the Jewish community. Travel video about destination Pecs in West Hungary. Pécs is the largest city in West Hungary and European Capital Of Culture with more than a thousand years of history. From Illyrian and Celtic settlements grew the Roman city of Sopianae and in 1009 A.D. King Stephan founded the diocese of Pécs. At the same time he laid the foundation stone for the first Saint Peter Cathedral whose structure, over the centuries, has been re-built and transformed several times. The fascinating early Christian cemetery with its subterranean, artistically painted grave chambers, was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Indeed, few Roman necropolis' such as this exist outside Italy. The Pécs of today makes it easy to forget that in 1241 the then unprotected city was destroyed by the Huns, which led to the construction of the City Wall. In 1543 the Turks invaded without a struggle and remained for 143 years during which time they introduced mosques, minarets and baths. German, Croat, Roma and Jewish influences dominated the cityscape, a blend that eventually led to Hungarian Art Nouveau and Moorish-Oriental forms are very apparent on the still magnificent synagogues of the Jewish community. Video of my adventure with an Advantage layup Stellar ST21 tandem kayak. Ordered it for a race, but it was heavily damaged in shipping. Two holes through the hull, crushed coaming, broken rudder, and multiple gouges and scrapes throughout on all four gelcoat colors. After watching many online repair videos I completed interim repairs for the race with West Systems epoxy products. After the race I addressed remaining cosmetic issues and customized the "Honeybee". Bottom line: I've paddled many tandems, and this is by far the best tandem available on the market. Perhaps not a great kayak for a beginner, but with one experienced paddler it is very easy to manage. The 56 lb weight makes this easily transportable, and the light and stiff build accelerates instantly on the water. Footpeg system allows a similar leg drive as a surfski, albeit with a slightly inferior seated position. Storage is water tight, but hatch lid style is a pain to properly seat. I replaced the abrasive seat backs with a Seals brand kit, and added hooks to lift it to my garage ceiling for storage. Custom vinyl was provided by DIYLettering.com, honeybee graphic from Etsy, and racing stripes were low quality vinyl from Amazon that I don't recommend. Replaced the cracked rudder with SmartTracks' Race Rudder; it includes a metal housing and is spring deployed, which is opposite the original (spring retracted). The tandem rudder foil is also smaller than the original rudder but still very effective. Worthwhile upgrade available only from Stellar's website. Speed will depend on you and your partner, but this is probably similar to a beginning surfski (Epic V8, Stellar S18S). For us it's about a minute per mile slower than my Stellar SEL, very similar to my Necky Looksha3.

Appalachian Trail Maryland I70 to POGO Memorial Campsite

This was another short hike to clean up some of my Appalachian Trail miles in Maryland. It was a great weekend and parking was tight at the I70/US40 parking lot. I'm glad we got there early, before 0830. The lot was already packed!! Our plan for the day was to hike from I70 past Pine Knob Shelter, Annapolis Rocks, Black Rock, and stay overnight at POGO Memorial Campsite. The trail was relatively easy for the 1st 0.8 miles, after which it ascended up to the ridge at a moderate slope where it leveled off again. The trail is wide and easy to traverse in this section. Annapolis Rocks is a beautiful overlook and worth the day hike for that alone. There are 11 tent sites at Annapolis Rocks, 2 Privies, and a great spring. Also on site is a caretaker to keep things organized. It's a pretty crowded location. After we stopped by there, we continued to Black Rocks another mile or so up the trail. It is also a great overlook, and much less crowded. At about 3.9 miles along the Appalachian Trail is POGO Memorial Campsite. The area is a little deceptive. We met up with a PATC ridge-runner who was doing a site assessment to determine usage. The obvious camp area west and down of the AT is not an official site and they were moving people from there up the hill to the formal camp area. There is also a monster fire ring right on the trail that is also illegal and will be removed. East and up is the correct campsite with Privy and all. There are a dozen or so tent areas, some worse than others, only a couple I'd call really nice. Many rocks and uneven ground make it hard to set up. There are a couple cool fire rings with rock lounge seats. From the main AT in the North/West side trail, there is a pretty good spring a couple hundred feet away. POGO offers water and privy, but no food hang, picnic tables, or other amenities. It's a pretty primitive site. At 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday, it was empty. By 5PM it was full. There is a lot of traffic on the main AT coming up from the side trail to visit the cliffs. Most of this traffic has no idea this campsite is here, which is good for the hikers. The last section we have to complete in MD is from POGO to Raven Rock. We hope to finish that soon. En Sandos Caracol Eco Resort disfrutamos de un día lleno de actividades y de mucha energía, nuestros huespedes aprovecharon desde el amanecer esta oportunidad de ponerse en equilibrio con la naturaleza y con su ser. Este día marca el inicio de la primavera, un fenómeno astronómico mediante el cual el día adquiere una duración igual al de la noche. Este vídeo te muestra la celebración completa del Equinoccio de Primavera, al amanecer pusimos en paz nuestro interior con la meditación a la orilla del mar, dejando que la brisa se llevara todas las mortificaciones y pensamientos negativos. Después recibimos una purificación maya que nos dio la pauta para absorver lo mejor de este maravilloso día. Nuestro eco tour nos puso en contacto directo con la naturaleza y sus bondades, es un recorrido único que muestra lo mejor del ecosistema que rodea al resort. También hubo muchos sucesos inesperados, nuestros huéspedes fueron testigos de varios Flashmobs (Acción organizada en la que un gran grupo de personas se reúne de repente en un lugar público, realiza algo inusual y luego se dispersa rápidamente). Entre música baile y la mejor actitud, llenamos sus corazones de magia y de momentos inolvidables. Los juegos, las risas y la diversión siempre estuvieron presentes en nuestro festejo, junto a la playa recibimos la primavera con deliciosas bebidas y música en vivo, la mejor manera de disfrutar de la Riviera Maya. Además nuestros huéspedes aprendieron de la cocina tradicional, les reagalamos la receta de un platillo típico que sorprenderá a los paladares de muchos comensales al rededor del mundo. Una comunidad maya nos acompañó en esta celebración, nos mostraron más de la belleza de la cultura, sus tradiciones y su maravillosa forma de ver el mundo. Nuestros huespedes conocieron el zodiaco maya y encontraron su sello personal, de esta forma comprendieron mejor la esencia real de su ser y las oportunidades que hay en su entorno.
