Looking for a great DIY gift or back to school craft? This mini magnet canvas looks great on a fridge to hang a child's artwork or at school to decorate the inside of a locker. Here's what you'll need: - Tissue paper - Mini magnet canvas - Scrap wrapping paper - Craft glue - Scissors - Foam brush Cut a square of tissue paper large enough to cover the front and sides of the mini magnet canvas. Coat the canvas in a thin layer of craft glue and then place the square of tissue in the center of the canvas, gently pressing it smooth out to the sides. Coat each side of the canvas with a thin layer of craft glue and gently press the edges of the tissue onto each side. You'll end up with a little dog's ear on the corners—just place a small dab of glue on the ear and then press it to the side. Then you coat the entire canvas in the craft glue to create a sticky surface for applying any additional embellishments you like. We used hole punchers of various shapes to cut out appliques out of coordinating colors of tissue paper. (Hint: in order to get a clean cut when using a hole puncher on tissue paper, place the tissue between a piece of paper!) You can also use scrap wrapping paper to cut a design or initial. After you press your applique into place, dab a little more craft glue on top of it to ensure the entire canvas will have the same finish after it dries. And that's it! Just allow your creation to dry and enjoy your crafty handiwork!
