Remember these 7 essential rules! 1. KEEP STILL FOR 6 SECONDS. Be patient! Don't rush to change or even adjust the position of your quadcopter or camera. Try to record at least 6 seconds of steady drone movement or even a static image, or you may run out of shots. 2. DON'T GET TOO CARRIED AWAY WITH COMPLEX MANEUVERS. Think of your drone as a camera, rather than a flying toy. Most of the time, it's quite enough for the drone to be just hanging in the air and shooting a static image. 3. COMBINE A MID SHOT WITH LONG-DISTANCE SHOTS. There are several ways to combine mid shots and long-distance shots and they work really well as opening scenes. 4. TAKE IDEAS FROM MOVIES. Introduce locations to your viewers, emphasise the majesty of nature using Hollywood aerial scene tricks. Shifting the camera while flying and combining shots can help to create magical views of a location. 5. USE A PAN SHOT MANEUVER. Panning is the smooth vertical or horizontal movement of a camera. Your video will look even more spectacular if you use this method while filming. 6. TRY A CIRCULAR MOTION. This trick is super-effective but hard to pull off manually. We're using the active track function on a DJI quadcopter in this instance. 7. KNOW YOUR LIMITS WHEN EDITING. Good editing means concise editing so don't include every single shot in your video. Choose only the best ones.
